It was a privilege to attend the Billroth Memorial Laringectomy Conference at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (Amsterdam). Thank you Michiel van den Brekel for setting such a wonderful program. It was also a great pleasure to meet Ollivier Laccourreye, and listen to the biography of Theodor Billroth, not just an European surgical genius, but also a gifted musician and close friend to Johannes Brahms.
Another step forward towards the optimization of the quality of life in patients with a total laryngectomy. Hope to host a meeting in Madrid next year.
